Rock, soul, pop, indie, anthem rock and Motown from the 1960s to the 2010s. Think Rod Stewart, Queen, the Beatles, Simple Minds, Crowded House, AC/DC, David Bowie and Bruce Springsteen, through to Franz Ferdinand, the Killers and Jimmy Eat World. The repertoire keeps evolving.
Yes—tell us your favourites and the feel you want. We shape the set around your audience and can discuss learning a special song. Extra rehearsal or preparation may affect the quote.
Typically two 45-minute live sets. Three 45-minute sets or custom timings are also possible. We work the music around your speeches, dinner and event schedule.
Choose the core four-piece with four-part harmonies, add keyboards for a five-piece, or discuss an expanded seven-piece with keys and horns and/or strings. Tell us about your room, audience and brief and we can help you choose.
Yes. Solo acoustic vocals and guitar can be added for arrivals, cocktails or an earlier part of the event. Dan Murphy can provide this component where appropriate; discuss it when requesting your quote.
We may be able to assist, depending on the event. Include your DJ or MC requirements in the enquiry so we can discuss options; neither is a standard inclusion.
Yes. Where your venue does not supply production, we can help arrange or quote for a sound system, engineer, lighting, stage, marquee and other requirements. We confirm what is needed for your event as part of the brief.
Yes. We can coordinate directly with your planner, production company and sound or stage team, including supplying technical requirements and equipment information. We also work with your team on timings and changes to the running order.
We are Sydney-based and travel for events, including regional NSW and interstate where practical. Previous destinations include Wollongong, the Hunter Valley and Palm Cove, Queensland. Travel time, transport, accommodation and equipment logistics may add to the quote.
Yes. We maintain Public Liability Insurance and can supply a Certificate of Currency on request. This does not replace your own event or event-cancellation insurance.
Ask us about standard Pragmatics merch, co-branded pieces or one-off designs for your organisation or milestone event. Custom merchandise needs forward planning—allow approximately six to eight weeks.
